A person who suffered chronic sinus issues for years reported using the Young Living Essential Oil Eucalyptus Blue. To start one drop in either plain warm water or a mild saline rinse and as a daily rinse. After a week, this person was reporting great progress.

Another person reports using the Young Living Essential Oils of Purification and lavender directly on the sinuses several times a day
and avoiding all dairy and wheat as they thicken mucus and causes the body to make more.
————————————————————————-

Young Living Essential Oils are powerful so the advice always is to use very little. The essential oils manual suggests a number of oils for sinus infection. The above are actual testimonials and with the cooler weather of fall and winter hitting North America, I hope this is helpful.

Theives

I recently had shingles and used Thieves oil mixed 50/50 with V-6. It worked great! I had relief within 10 minutes. I never had any more pain with them after I used the Thieves one time and never had to take any of the pills or creams that are prescribed for shingles. By the time I went to the doctor to make sure that was what I had, they were already drying up.

Lavander and Oregano
Last year I came down with shingles and initially I used lavender to
cool down the “flame”. But it was oregano that helped the most!
Internally and externally.

Ravensara, Melaleuca and Lavender

The main thing new we did was to apply essential
oils directly to the Shingles. The main EO we used was Ravensara, but I
also remember using some Melaleuca and Lavender. The Shingles
were completely gone in about a week.

Oregano, Chamomile, Lavender, Bergamot, Geranium, Regenolone

About two months ago, I had severe pain in my lower left side for 2
days. Although the pain subsided, it left a numb feeling in my
side. I rarely visit the doctor, but had no idea what was going on
so I did. Much to my surprise, I was diagnosed of having early
stages of Shingles. I had one small rash about the size of a
quarter. I immediately mixed the #2 recipe in the EODR for Shingles
and begin to apply twice a day (10 drops R. Chamomile, 5 drops
lavender, 4 drops bergamot, and 2 drops geranium in V6 oil) the
itching was minimum and the following rashes were about a tenth the
size of the first one. I had about 5-6 spots in all. I read that
some people used Oregano, so when I ran out of #2 recipe, I tried
it. WOW did it burn, had to follow up with V6. Several days later
(from the dr. visit) the itching subsided and the rashes became sore
(similar to a bruise.) I started applying Regenolone a couple of
times a day. A week from the time that I was diagnosed; I had no
itching and no pain only the sores. I continued to use the
Regenolone for about another week to help heal the sores.

Essential Oils For Things that Bug You Around the House
by David Stewart, Ph.D., R.A.

Among the many chemicals in our industrial environment that
get into our systems and make us sick are the pesticides we
use in our homes. We use them because they are toxic to the
creatures that bug us, but they are also toxic to us. Sometimes
the toxicity is immediately apparent: we get a headache, get
sick or feel nauseous from the fumes or other contact.

Sometimes the toxicity is subtle and can accumulate resulting
in chronic complaints and disorders (including allergies, cancer
and miscarriages) that can be serious and even deadly over
time. Sometimes we even put poisons on our pets to deal with
ticks and fleas, not realizing that these substances are not
healthy for us nor our animals.

~^~How to Use Oils for Pest Control

As YLEO distributors, we don’t need poisons to kill pests. We
can repel them (and even sometimes kill them) with substances
that are not only harmless to us but are actually healthful
to us. To the right is a list of oils that will solve most of your
pest problems around the house.

And how do you use them? One way is to get a pistol-grip squirt
bottle. Mix a few drops of the oil with some water, shake it up,
and start firing. If you have bugs on your plants, like aphids on
your roses, you can squirt the leaves and drive the bugs away
with no harm to your plant. You can do the same with the other
pests. As for ants, you can smear a line of peppermint or
spearmint across your kitchen counter or floor and the ants
won’t cross it. If you already have a line of ants invading your
house, just draw a line of oil across them and they will turn back.
It is fun to watch. And as for flies, you can knock them dead
right out of the air with one shot from your pistol grip.

~^~A Brown Recluse Experiment

Seeing how squirting a peppermint-water spray would kill flies
in mid-air, I wondered what pure oil would do. So I did an
experiment on a brown recluse spider. I captured a live one in
a jar and carefully placed one drop of peppermint on one side.
The pure peppermint repelled the spider who crowded to the
otherside to avoid the oil. When I tipped the jar to force the
spider to fall into the oil, it merely squirmed and got away,
still repelled by the oil, but not apparently harmed. Then I put
a drop of water with the oil and tipped the jar so that the
spider slid into the water and oil together and, instantly, it
shrivled up died.

Conclusion: The oil alone is an insect repellant. Combined with
water, it is an insecticide.

~^~Safe Insect Repellants

As far as repellants go, when you go into the woods and fields,
put a little lavender around your ankles, wrists, and waist-band
and you won’t have to worry about chiggers or ticks (or Lyme
Disease of Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever). Lemongrass,
sage or thyme would work, too, but might irritate your skin so
put it on your pant cuffs and shirt sleeves.

As for your pets, you can put oils such as Purification, around
their necks and backs, but watch to keep oils from around their
eyes.

So there you have it. Non-toxic pest control.

Last spring, as every spring, I got bad polen allergy. I usually take any kind of antihistamine over-the-counter/prescription meds to stop the symptoms, but I decided to use lavender for a change. I filled 1/2 of 00 capsul with lavender and the rest with V6 and ingested it. Before that I had a very bad sinus, runny nose, and sneezing. 5 minutes after taking lavender capsul, I had no sinus, runny nose or sneezing. I didn’t even have to take any more meds or lavender capsuls. Just one did it!!! Lavender is a great antihistamine!!!

(The following is a post on my original site www.essentialoils.to I do not know the names of the people providing this information.)

I have been using Peace and Calming on the feet for the past 2 and 1/2 years and I can tell you it works. Three drops on each foot. It has a residual effect and after about 3 or 4 days I don’t have to use it for a week or two. How does it work? Who knows, I only know it works.

Snoring- a drop of peppermint on the mustache area (dilute with V-6 if necessary), lavender on the points of the ears. My husband also uses lavender across the forehead and back of the neck. Even the guys at scouts camp told him to keep doing whatever he was doing because it helps. He won’t go to bed without his lavender!

If that doesn’t work, try a drop of lavender to the snorer’s spouse’s elbow and apply directly between the 4th and 5th rib of the snorer.

Given the choice between a healthy lifestyle including great products like essential oils and relying on prescription medication, what is your preference? I know my answer which is why I provide this information.
